The DEN International Summer School is not simply a short-term programme\u2014it is an intensive, immersive learning environment where students collaborate globally, develop research, present at conferences, and contribute to publications addressing global challenges.<\/p>

Summer School \u2192 Conference \u2192 Publication \u2192 Global Impact<\/p>

The <\/span>DEN International Summer School<\/b> is a unique platform where students, staff, and international partners come together to explore global challenges through the lens of the <\/span>United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/b>. Hosted at the University of Westminster and in collaboration with partner universities abroad, the programme blends academic learning with cultural exchange, creativity, and real-world engagement.<\/span><\/p>

Each summer, students participate in <\/span>interactive lectures, workshops, and collaborative projects<\/b> led by both academics and student peers. They address pressing themes such as sustainability, equality, democracy, and the role of technology in society\u2014linking classroom discussions directly to <\/span>SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

What makes the Summer School distinctive is its <\/span>student-led approach<\/b>. Participants present their research, share reflections in blogs and podcasts, and engage in debates with colleagues from universities in <\/span>Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and beyond<\/b>. The diversity of perspectives enriches the conversation and builds lifelong connections across borders.<\/span><\/p>

The programme is not only academic\u2014it is also <\/span>transformative<\/b>. Students develop practical skills in public speaking, teamwork, and intercultural communication, while gaining the confidence to become active contributors to global change. For many, it is a milestone in their journey toward becoming engaged global citizens.<\/span><\/p>
