International Student Conference
The DEN International Student Conference is our flagship annual event at the University of Westminster, bringing together students, staff, and international partners to exchange ideas, present research, and collaborate on pressing global challenges.
Since its launch, the conference has grown into a global platform for student engagement, welcoming participants from Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Peru, the United States, and the UK. Students lead the way—presenting papers, sharing blogs, creating podcasts, and contributing to student-edited publications.
The conference is not only an academic event but also a space for cross-cultural learning and creativity. Through keynote lectures, student panels, workshops, and cultural exchanges, participants link their work directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—especially SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
Every year, the conference becomes a transformative experience for students:
- Developing skills in public speaking, teamwork, and research.
- Building lasting friendships and professional networks across continents.
- Exploring the role of youth in driving sustainable change.
Looking ahead, the 2026 conference will focus on Transforming Education: Innovation for Sustainability in the AI Era, continuing DEN’s tradition of connecting local action with global impact.
