International Organisations
Engagement with international organisations at DEN goes beyond exposure—it enables students to critically engage with global policy, contribute to debates, and connect their research to real-world challenges.
Global Institution → Engagement → Research → Publication → Impact
Through these partnerships, DEN transforms international organisations from distant institutions into spaces of student learning and contribution. By attending events, presenting at conferences, or visiting institutions such as the United Nations Headquarters in New York, students discover that their voices matter — and that education is most powerful when it connects to the world beyond the classroom.
At DEN, engaging with international organisations is a vital part of our mission to connect education with global change. These collaborations give students opportunities to interact with policymakers, practitioners, and experts, linking their studies directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Why partnerships with international organisations matter:
- Student engagement with global issues – Working with organisations such as the United Nations, UNESCO, and regional NGOs enables students to see how global policies address real-world challenges. This fosters active citizenship and supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions).
- Collaboration and dialogue – Students engage in debates, simulations, and workshops that build communication and leadership skills while promoting SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
- Education and employability – By interacting with professionals in diplomacy, sustainability, and international development, students explore new career pathways that align with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and equip them with transferable skills.
- Reducing inequalities – Participation in global networks exposes students to diverse perspectives, strengthening their commitment to SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and ensuring marginalised voices are heard.
