DEN's Publications
At DEN, publications are more than outputs — they are living platforms for student voices, collaboration, and innovation. Each year, we edit and publish a book that brings together the best papers presented at the DEN International Student Conference. Students lead every stage of the process: peer-reviewing, editing, mentoring, designing covers, and working with authors to prepare contributions for publication.
DEN publications are not assessment outputs—they are platforms for student-led knowledge production, where students act as authors, editors, and collaborators in global academic dialogue.
Since 2016, DEN’s annual book and online/hardcopy magazine have become some of our most successful student–academic collaborations. While the magazine offers short, accessible articles, the books engage with in-depth academic debates on local and global issues across society, politics, the economy, and sustainability.
Even during COVID-19, DEN transformed challenge into opportunity: students and alumni across the globe collaborated online to produce over 30 articles documenting their lived experiences of the pandemic. This innovation became a powerful archive of global student perspectives.
DEN’s publications have since evolved into a mentorship model, where staff, alumni, and postgraduate students guide undergraduates through the publishing process — equipping them with authentic experience in academic writing, editing, and dissemination.
