As part of the module, we teach third-year students, “Politics and Development in the Middle East” at the University of Westminster; in collaboration with several universities in Turkey and Thailand, DEN organised a field trip to the beautiful city of Istanbul.

Academics and students from Westminster, Kasetsart, Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Batman came together to host a dynamic cultural and academic workshop. This gathering aimed to facilitate collaboration and enhance learning experiences among participants hailing from diverse backgrounds. The workshop featured a variety of engaging sessions, including presentations, discussions, and interactive activities, each designed to promote cross-cultural understanding and exchange of ideas. Attendees had the opportunity to share their unique perspectives and experiences, creating a vibrant atmosphere that encouraged dialogue and cooperation. The event not only highlighted the importance of academic collaboration but also celebrated the richness of cultural diversity in a spirit of mutual respect and curiosity.
